Modalities

Modalities are the approaches therapists use to help people address their challenges. Each modality focuses on different aspects of someone's mental well-being, whether it's their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, or more. I am informed on the following modalities and incorporate a flexible approach to ensure that each client gets individual care tailored to their specific needs. I incorporate elements from the following modalities.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) teaches you to be with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings and commit to actions aligned with your values, leading to greater well-being and a richer life.

Gottman Method

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy that helps partners build stronger relationships by improving communication, increasing intimacy and understanding, and learning effective conflict management skills.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy helps people identify and challenge the negative stories they tell themselves about their lives, empowering them to create new, more positive stories that support their well-being and goals.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy that views your system as being made up of different "parts". By understanding how these "parts" show up in your life, you can improve your self-understanding and emotional balance.

Somatic Integration

Somatic Integration is a therapy that focuses on the connection between the body and mind, using physical experiences to help release tension, process emotions, and promote overall well-being.

Relation Focused Therapy

Relation Focused Therapy helps individuals and couples improve their connections by exploring relationship patterns, enhancing communication skills, and fostering deeper understanding and empathy.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) helps you understand your emotions and how they affect your relationships. Learn healthy ways to express them, and build stronger connections with those around you.

Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness Therapy uses practices that focus on being present in the moment to help people manage stress, improve focus, and increase their sense of calm and well-being.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy focused on understanding and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve mental well-being and develop healthier coping skills.
