Walk and Talk Therapy
Some conversations feel easier when you’re moving. Walk and Talk Therapy offers a more natural, relaxed way to connect. Side by side, outdoors, and away from the pressures of a traditional office or screen.
This approach blends the benefits of therapy with movement and fresh air. For many people, walking makes it easier to open up, regulate emotions, and feel more grounded. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just craving a different kind of space, walking while we talk can help things move both physically and emotionally.
You don’t need to be “outdoorsy” or athletic. We move at a pace that feels right for you, with breaks and pauses whenever you need them. It’s therapy, just with more fresh air more space.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do walk and talk sessions take place?
We’ll meet at a quiet, accessible trail or park in the area. Somewhere that offers enough privacy
for conversation while still feeling safe and open. We will decide together on a location ahead of time based on the options that I have in Calgary.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather isn’t cooperating (rain, extreme heat, cold, or unsafe conditions), we’ll switch to
an online session instead. You’ll always have the option to stay indoors if that feels better.
Do I have to be in good shape or walk far?
Not at all. We’ll go at a pace and distance that feels right for you. This isn’t about exercise it’s
about gentle movement and comfort. Sitting breaks or slower walks are always okay.
Is it still confidential?
Yes. I’m mindful about choosing routes that are less busy, and we won’t discuss highly sensitive
material if others are nearby. If we encounter someone you know, or you feel like there are too
many people around, we will discuss how to handle it together ahead of time.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Dress for the weather and bring water or anything
else you might need to feel at ease. I’ll take care of the rest.
Can we still do walk and talk if I’m feeling anxious or low-energy?
Yes! In fact, many people find the movement helps ease anxiety or internal restlessness. But if
walking doesn’t feel right that day, we can shift to a seated session outdoors, or meet online
instead.
